The Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children (IAPC) hosted the 12th biennial conference of the North American Association for Community of Inquiry (NAACI) Friday evening, June 17, through Monday afternoon, June 20, 2016 on the campus of Montclair State University. The University is located in Montclair, New Jersey, 15 miles from New York City.
The post conference retreat was hosted by the Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children (IAPC) and focused on the themes and methodologies traditionally associated with the regular, week-long seminar that has been held in Mendham, New Jersey since 1983, which provides a balance of theory and practice in the planning and facilitation of community of philosophical inquiry with children and teenagers.
